broken bones and healing
Mercury, 43, draws a very cute comparison between the time it takes to heal a broken bone and the time it takes to heal a broken heart, and given that we all have to suffer in life she prefers physical suffering to the emotional stuff because it doesn’t last as long!
"When I broke my hand there were certain things I had to do to help the bone mend," explains Mercury, "and similarly there are certain things we need to do to help a 'broken heart' mend.”
“In both cases, the remedy involved good nutrition to build up your strength, plenty of rest and strict 'protection' from further hurt."
"You can't put your broken heart in a plaster cast,” laughs Mercury, “and that’s why healing bones is easier than healing a broken heart!”
“Only a fool plays tennis with a broken hand!"
