disgusted by fat people?
If it’s any consolation to the well-endowed and well-padded people out there, the type of person who is disgusted by your shape is likely to be disgusted by a whole lot of other human ‘imperfections’, too; and Steffi exemplifies the paragons of perfection now dominating government and the media who need to learn the art of tolerance in order to cope with their disgust for the rest of us.
“Fat people disgust me more than anything else,” admits Steffi. “I don’t understand how they ever allowed themselves to get so fat, but they seem to enjoy eating and even though the sight of them eating or waddling down the road makes me feel ill, I am learning to tolerate fat people, I don’t have to look.”
“Learning to tolerate fat people and everyone else who disgusts me has been very difficult because I am truly and honestly disgusted by how grotesque people are,” says Steffi. “Tolerance was not something that I was gifted with at birth, and I don’t think it’s innate in anybody, really, but being tolerant of others’ imperfections is something I need to learn because it is incredibly rude to tell people that they are disgusting or offensive to me in some way.”
“I guess it’s all about being courteous and kind,” explains Steffi. “A smile, a ‘good morning’ or ‘how are you’ costs nothing and is so much more life affirming, for myself and the offender, than a scowl of disgust or a word of disapproval, and in certain circumstances can even save my life.”
“An attack by a fat person is something I don’t want to invite!”
